20 Typography Tutorials


It's the beginning of August!  I thought I might start out by showing several tutorials made by other people, in the category of Typography.  I like typography because I think it makes everything look better.  It can make all the difference in your poster if you add typography.  Some of these are text effects.  Most of all, make sure to pay attention to see the fonts.  The following tutorials are handpicked by me.

1. Glowing Motion Blurred Text


This tutorial teaches you how to blur text and make a reflection, all the while giving it a cool look.

2. Glowing Layered Light Text


I personally like this one.  Partly because the disco kind of floor is pretty cool.

This one is also a personal favorite.  It teaches you how to create mock up stars and such.

This tutorial shows you how to fake milk splashing into letters.

This tutorial helps you make a colorful inflated text effect.

15. Retro Text


This is another personal favorite.  Mostly because of the vibrant colors.

This is a pretty cool tutorial that shows off its vintage style.

Another personal favorite because of those vibrant colors, again.  I like vibrant colors.

18. Retro Folded Typography Text


This one is probably my favorite!  Although I can't seem to get mine to look like it.

A pretty cool tutorial teaching you how to make an equalizer effect.

Last but not least, a tutorial teaching you how to make that perfect retro text.
