Before and After Simulation |
Google created a program a while ago called Google SketchUp. Its been around for a while. It is a program that can make virtual things and simulations. It is rather easy to use, with many tips and tutorials online.
It's geared more towards architectural designing. Some people use it to create mockup houses, or even interior designing. You can also use other people's models, and incorporate them into your own design. For instance, if you were planning to make a mockup city, you could use another person's buildings. All of this is free.

Here's what Google says about it -
"Redecorate your living room. Invent a new piece of furniture. Model your city for Google Earth. There's no limit to what you can create with SketchUp. We believe powerful software can also be a pleasure to use – the secret is intuitive tools that work the way you think they should. Apparently, millions of people agree."
To the left here is a simple simulation. I simply created a circle, with the center point at the intersection of the lines, and the person is simply there to tell you the perspective point. After I did that, I used a tool that rotated the circle, and then the push and pull tool raised it to become a cylinder.

Although I am not the architectural type of person, Google SketchUp is very fun to play around with. It can be great for people who enjoy interior design or architectural design.
